Why it matters
Carrefour, through its partnership with the Israeli company Electra Consumer Products and its subsidiary Yenot Bitan, contributes to the opening of stores in occupied territories, including illegal settlements, and collaborates with Israeli startups in the fields of AI and cybersecurity.
In the face of the ongoing genocide in Gaza, a global retail group that presents itself as consumer-responsible has a duty to act.
We therefore call on Carrefour to immediately end all collaboration with Electra Consumer Products and Yenot Bitan, suspend all investments in Israel, publicly condemn the ongoing genocide in Gaza, and support humanitarian initiatives in Gaza.
