You can put pressure on Intel

You can put pressure on Intel

Demand action. No business as usual during genocide.

Why it matters

Intel is one of Israel’s largest foreign investors. In 2023, during the assault on Gaza, Intel announced a $25 billion investment to expand its chip manufacturing in Kiryat Gat, just 20 km from the Gaza border built on land from two depopulated Palestinian villages, with $3.2 billion in subsidies from the Israeli government.

Public pressure forced Intel to suspend part of this expansion in 2024, but the company remains deeply entangled with Israel’s apartheid system.

In 2024, a group of Intel shareholders submitted a resolution calling on the company to assess the human rights risks of its operations in Israel. Intel’s shareholders voted against the proposal.

We must push Intel to cancel all expansion projects and subsidies tied to Israel’s military economy, publicly denounce the genocide in Gaza, commit to ending its complicity with Israeli apartheid.

What you can do

  • Call out Intel directly: comment on their social media posts and public appearances, ask why they invest billions in a government committing genocide.
  • Tag and pressure brands that use Intel chips. Ask them: why are you still partnering with Intel?
  • Use your own platforms: post on Instagram, LinkedIn, X, or Facebook. Tag and make clear that complicity has a cost.
  • Leave reviews on Google, Trustpilot, and major retailer sites explaining why Intel has lost your trust.
  • Speak out in your network: share this with colleagues, friends, and communities. Raise the issue in meetings, classrooms, or events.
  • If your institution or workplace uses Intel products, push for a collective shift toward ethical alternatives.
  • If you're a shareholder, divest and demand public accountability.
  • If you work in tech or procurement, raise the issue internally and recommend cutting ties.
