You can protest against MEP Elena Donazzan.
Her words dehumanize the children of Gaza.
Why it matters
During a speech at the European Parliament, Elena Donazzan, elected with the far-right party Fratelli d’Italia, claimed that the children killed in the Gaza Strip were “the children of terrorists used as human shields” and that “Israel has the courage to do what Europe doesn’t have the courage to do.”
These statements are unacceptable. They justify the killing of thousands of civilians, including over 15,000 children, and legitimize violence as a political method. When a Member of the European Parliament speaks this way in an official forum, it’s not just a personal opinion: it is a deliberate use of institutional power to normalize war crimes and dehumanize an entire people.
These words must be remembered, denounced, and challenged, both at the ballot box and beyond.
