You can put pressure on Microsoft
Technology should not power genocide. Hold them accountable.
Why it matters
Microsoft provides cloud and AI services, particularly through its Azure platform, to the Israeli military.
As public pressure grows, with Microsoft employees disrupting official events and declaring that “Microsoft powers this genocide” while calling for an end to the company’s involvement in Israel’s military operations, Microsoft continues to maintain these ties. At the same time, internal reports reveal that words like “Gaza,” “Palestine,” and “genocide” have been censored in company communications, raising serious concerns about complicity and the suppression of dissent.
Microsoft has a responsibility to act and distance itself from genocide. We therefore call on the company to immediately end all collaboration with the Israeli military, publicly condemn the ongoing genocide, ensure transparency and freedom of expression within the company, and financially support humanitarian initiatives in Gaza.
What you can do
- Call them out on LinkedIn. Use the platform to question executives, recruiters, and public posts. Comment, share, and make their complicity visible in professional circles.
- Post across social media tagging @Microsoft.
- Leave direct comments on Microsoft’s official channels and product updates. Demand transparency and an end to military contracts.
- Leave reviews on platforms like Google and Trustpilot explaining why you no longer trust Microsoft.
- Speak out in your network. Share this with friends, colleagues, and communities. Help turn silence into reputational pressure.
- If you’re a Microsoft customer (individual or business): let them know you’re switching to an ethical provider.
- If you’re choosing tech tools now: make it clear they’ve already lost your business.
- Stop advertising or recruitment spending on LinkedIn (Microsoft owns the platform) and tell them why.
- If you're part of an institution, school, or nonprofit using Microsoft: push for collective divestment.
- If you're a shareholder: sell your shares and demand ethical accountability.
- If you work in tech or procurement: raise the issue within your company or team and advocate for change.
