Support food distribution in the Gaza Strip
Why it matters
Over 70% of the population of Gaza lives in conditions of severe malnutrition.
In this emergency situation, Soleterre has chosen to act together with the Democracy and Workers' Rights Centre (DWRC), a local organisation with experience and roots in the area.
The programme involves the distribution of food parcels containing essential items: oil, rice, pasta, legumes, tuna, cheese, milk, dates and other products that are indispensable for the survival of families.
But food alone is not enough.
In Gaza, hunger and trauma go hand in hand: this is why the project also provides psychological support to children, who live with fear, insecurity and loss every day. In coordination with local professionals, Soleterre offers listening and support spaces to alleviate the emotional burden of war.
Each distribution is tracked, documented and made possible thanks to volunteers working in the field, wearing Soleterre bibs to ensure transparency and visibility.
