A powerful nonviolent action to break the siege on Gaza: join by sea or from the ground.
Why it matters
The Global Sumud Flotilla is an international mobilization aimed at breaking the illegal blockade on Gaza through a civil sea-based action, coordinated by over 70 organizations across 44 countries. At the end of August 2025, boats will set sail carrying aid, witnesses, activists, and solidarity, to open a humanitarian maritime corridor. The need is urgent: after more than 10 months of siege and bombings, people in Gaza are dying of hunger, medical facilities are destroyed, and the population is trapped with no escape. The naval blockade violates international law, and this initiative challenges it through peaceful, visible, collective resistance. You have a chance to be part of it.
What you can do
- Apply to join a crew – If you're motivated, healthy, and available, apply to board one of the flotilla’s boats. Nonviolence training will be provided.
- Join a ground support team – Many volunteers are needed for media, logistics, art, translation, advocacy, emotional support, and more. All skills are useful.
- Donate through the official links – The flotilla needs funds for boats, fuel, safety, and logistics. Even a small contribution helps.
- Amplify online and in your communities – Share news, images, and videos on social media. Talk about the flotilla in your groups, events, assemblies, and spaces.
